Clerk of Works required for a Namibian Project. Our Client is a world leader in the development and implementation of customized and innovative solutions for modular mineral processing plants, shallow water mining, walking jack-up platforms and dredging. They not only offer their technology to diamond, gold and heavy mineral sands mining, but is able to offer process and design development and implementation services to any mining operation anywhere in the Namibia. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be responsible for ensuring that work carried out on work sites conforms to specifications and meets the required quality and safety standards. Oversee the contractors working within area of responsibility. Responsible for the on-site coordination, quality control, supervision and progress reporting of civil work done within area of responsibility. Monitor and control contractor performance.  Perform final handover inspections of completed work. Plan and schedule allocated work.  Assist the Construction Manager and Safety Officer with the enforcement of site Safety Regulations.  Monitor waste control and environment.  Must have at least 5 years supervisory experience in the Civil Construction industry. Valid Namibian driver’s license. Must be computer literate and be able to generate technical reports. Good verbal and written communication in English. Be competent in budgeting and cost control. Sound planning, leading and organisational abilities.
