The Hirsch Umhlanga team headed out to Mount Moriah on World food day to set up a soup kitchen in the area in which they are building an education centre with the help of Freedom Stationary. Said Hirsch Umhlanga PRO, Ana Sotero “We visited the children at their temporary location consisting of a number of containers. With the help and generous donations from the staff at Hirsch Umhlanga we were able to buy all the ingredients for a delicious chicken, vegetable and potato soup, bread and juice for 200 people. Our very own Shannie spent the morning cooking away to ensure that the children had fresh, hot soup! The children were beyond ecstatic. We were greeted by happy smiles and squeals. We served each class at a time and then finally the dedicated teachers. After all the hungry children had their tummies filled,  they joined us in the court yard to play and dance around.   Such a special day and Hirsch Umhlanga were so happy to have spent World Food Day with the beautiful children of Mount Moriah Educentre.
