FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER / COOK - PAARL AREA IN PAARL

Our client, a Guest House situated in the Paarl area, is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager / Cook to join their team. Requirements and Previous Experience: Grade 12. Postgraduate or Degree or a 3 years’ Diploma in Hotel Management. A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Food and Beverage Manager / Restaurant Manager. Personal Skills and Attributes: Great organizational skills. Ability to forecast how much food is needed. Ability to delegate tasks. Great leadership abilities. Deep knowledge of the food industry. Customer oriented mindset. Ability to communicate with all levels of staff. Ability to create reports to give to ownership. Job Description: Must be able to work flexible hours. Catering for all conferences and functions. Guest house breakfasts. Family meals. Baking sweets and savouries for coffee shop sales. Costings on all menus and food-products. Advanced Excel skills for food costings. Monthly stocktake. Stock purchases. Sourcing suppliers according to cost, quality and reliability. Monitoring and efficiently using stock on hand to avoid wastage. Staff training. Maintain kitchen equipment. Head of kitchen.
