Assist the patient in filling and signing the necessary forms and explaining all details with patient. Pack Doctor’s theatre bag on theatre days. Accompany / assist Doctor when travelling to Howick to see patients. Obtain authorisation numbers for patients as needed. Order medical supplies and collect Avastin as needed. Take packs to CSSD to be sterilised and fetched when ready. Liaise with representative regarding new products and relay new information to Doctor. Checking that the doctor has enough forms, etc available for patients. Explain post operation care for all procedures in detail to patients. Phoning patients regarding unpaid accounts.
