WAREHOUSE MANAGER JHB BASED IN SOUTH AFRICA

An established national telecoms distributor is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager that is able to work independently. Ideal candidate will have work experience in the PABX/telecoms industry and an understanding of channel sales.  Minimum Requirements: ·         Previous experience/Logistics Qualification, driver's license and own transport essential. ·         Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) with English and Mathematics ·         Logistics Degree or Diploma or 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse/distribution centre ·         Valid driver's license & own transport ·         Computer literate (MS Office) ·         In-depth Pastel Partner Inventory and MS Excel knowledge.   Responsibilities & Duties: •                    Achieve operational excellence by assisting the Operations Manager in controlling the total operation of the distribution centre •                    Provide the operation team with effective direction through involvement and communication and sound people practices •                    Effective and efficient resolution of internal and external customer queries •                    Clearance of stock (receiving, replenishment, picking checking, invoicing control of all material handling equipment) •                    Maintain a high level of housekeeping conducive to a proper shrinkage management •                    Efficient and accurate administration for transactional excellence •                    Adherence and delivery of specific shift targets with emphasis on time deliveries and accuracy •                    Resolve computer related system queries •                    Manage a warehouse  staff component Characteristics of the individual: •                    Understanding of the necessary leadership principles, values and behavioural aspects in order to lead by example •                    Take personal initiative •                    Accept accountability for own actions •                    Service mind-set and consequently doing everything within reason in order to achieve service excellence •                    Good interpersonal skills on various levels •                    Influential with service providers •                    Effective conflict management and decision-making •                    Very structured person.
