JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEER IN SOUTH AFRICA

Our client, a leading producer and exporter of high quality variable air volume equipment and controls, seeks to employ a recent Graduate Mechanical Engineer to design and upgrade their range of products to meet the needs of their customers.   Requirements: B.Sc/B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering essential 2 Years’s design experience (RECENT GRADUATE WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED) Experience with CAD software (Solid Edge will be an added advantage) Professional attitude to deal with customers and agents   Responsibilities: Assess the design of the current product range to ensure they meet customer performance expectations. Re-engineer existing product range as required to ensure performance and cost requirements. Develop new concept designs according to market requirements. Ensure design for manufacturability. Ensure Quality is build into the designs. Value engineering of product range to reduce manufacturing cost. Testing and laboratory proving of all designs. Documentation of test results and product information for marketing purposes. Develop product and component quality standards. Ensure design principles adhere to world class standards.
