FACTORY MECHANIC SEAGOING WEST COAST IN SOUTH AFRICA

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SEAGOING POSITION Our client a leading concern is seeking to employ a Factory Mechanic which will report to the Chief Engineer with the following experience: Previous exposure and training on Baaders Machinery essential and not negotiable Knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics and pneumatics Fitting and Turning experience Must be able to operate a Lathe Machine Grade 12 Fishing Vessel experience essential and not negotiable Purpose of the job: To deliver a proactive repair and maintenance to the factory equipment and to ensure that there is no downtime and that all machines on the vessel are fully functional and operating at required levels. Duties: To monitor, maintain and repair all the machinery in the factory to ensure no factory downtime To service all machinery as per service maintenance schedule To place orders for replacement parts (new and old) to ensure the ongoing productivity of the factory To manufacture parts on the Lathe machine which are not readily available to prevent factory downtime IF YOU FAIL TO SUPPLY ALL THE REQUIRED INFORMATION YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
