ELECTRICAL ENGINEER IN SOUTH AFRICA

A growing manufacturing concern is looking for a professional, technically inclined Electrical Engineer to oversee the Electrical components & systems within their production maintenance division. Key Responsibility: · Ensure a well-managed Electrical Department · Ensure sustained support to operational areas in order to reduce electrical related downtimes, minimise maintenance costs and ensure optimal asset life. Position requirements: · Minimum Qualification: National Diploma: Electrical Engineering. · Ideal Qualification: B.Eng. Electrical Engineering combined with a recognized management certificate. · Minimum 5 years’ experience within process industry within the maintenance environment · Computer Literate (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, DCS systems, CAD/Engineering programmes). · Siemens Systems accreditation (advantageous). · Sound knowledge of AC & DC Motors, Process instrumentation (Flow meters, consistency transmitters, level transmitters, DCS systems & control logic. · Sound knowledge of AC inverters & DC drivers, transformers, power factor corrections and switch gear. · Excellent knowledge of Profibus. · Ability to lead a team and participate as part of management team. · Willingness to work outside normal working hours. · Problem solving and people management skills.
