BARMAN REQUIRED FOR BUSY CRAFT BEER BAR IN SOUTH AFRICA

The vacant position is for a part time bartender to join our small team in a relaxed independent bar situated at Wembley Square, Cape Town. We are a small, agile, friendly and young-feeling free-house. Commencement of the job is immediate. Please read the following carefully and only respond to this advert if you fulfill all criteria and you are happy with the role. - You must have at least 1 year's experience in a bar - Some cocktail knowledge would be beneficial but not essential - Average of around 25 hours per week - Will be required to work any day but especially Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, which usually finishes no later than 2am - There will be some day shifts and many night shifts, allowing for some flexibility Associated with your role will be: - Serving drinks, cocktails etc and taking food orders - Clearing tables and glasses - Restock of the bar - Cleaning of all public areas - Cellar management The successful candidate will have the following characteristics: - Efficiency and ability to work fast behind a bar and to keep a cool head - Good initiative- to be able to find your own jobs around the bar during quieter times - Friendly- to have a good working relationship within our small team and be welcoming to customers - You must be trustworthy, friendly, responsible, mature, reliable and hardworking - You must be over 18 years of age - You must be fluent in English and have all the essential paperwork to live and work in the SA If you are interested in this position, please send in a cover letter, C.V. and photograph.
