Basic Requirements: Formal Schooling: Grade 12 Formal Tertiary education: National Qualification in Electrical Engineering Drivers Licence: Code 8- required Languages: English; Afrikaans Experience: Electrical panel building Field wiring of related hardware to panel Fault finding Pneumatic valves & actuators (advantageous) MS Office Basic design experience in Eplan Knowledge of basic electrical control hardware (including Power Supplies, PLC, Sensors, Actuators, IO Devices, Printers, Scanners, IPC, Valves, Cables, Motor & Drive Systems, Plugs Bus Systems & Hardware) Working knowledge of FluidDraw or other pneumatic packages (advantageous) Job Objectives Basic control system design of special purpose machines Main Tasks and Responsibilities Electrical design of special purpose facilities control system Pneumatic design of same Panely layout of same Specification, calculation of and rating of all control hardware Safety assessment and risk analysis of control system Feed part information to mechanical design to incorporate into mechanical design. Determining cable and pipe routing on facility and allocating space accordingly Advise and guide electrical assembly staff to ensure that what is build is what the designer intended. Participation in design review meetings internally and with customer.
