FORKLIFT TECHNICIAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to suite the above position. Ensure that Forklift productivity is maximized through the continuous monitoring and trending of improvements and equipment availability (downtime reduction). Implement initiatives across equipment and process in order to maximize reliability as a means of addressing the root cause of equipment problems. Plan and manage all planned maintenance, preventative schedules, work requests and break downs Determine material, equipment and supplies to be used and ensure that these are ordered and available at the work site Safety inspection and reports. Research and development - upgrade equipment for improved performance at reduction of maintenance cost A relevant Trade test Minimum 5 years relevant experience (post qualification). Ability to work independently and under pressure. Prepared to work weekends, perform standby duties, call outs and overtime when required. Must have Code 08 license. Must have a clear criminal record Ability to communicate in English. Physically fit and able to work in cold conditions, typically to -40c for short periods.
