CONSTRUCTION / SITE MANAGER IN SOUTH AFRICA
A Construction / Site Manager Position has become available with a medium sized construction company operating within the mass housing industry in the Eastern Cape Province. The Project is located in the rural parts of the Eastern Cape Province and the successful candidate shall be responsible for the day-to-day management of the relevant Project, which needs to be completed over the next 2 years Commencement Date: 08 January Requirements for application / preferences: · Eight (8) to Ten (10) years of relevant experience · Self-starter, organized, ability to show initiative and take responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, deadline oriented, hands on, Effective problem solving skills · Ability to work in a fast paced environment, have enhanced time management skills and sound understanding of Project Management processes · Previous work experience within the Construction industry essential (mass housing and rural construction preferable) · Must have excellent work ethics, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal pressure · Diploma / degree in construction management (or comparable) from a recognised tertiary institution · Knowledge of applicable NHBRC requirements, cost control principles and exceptional managerial abilities essential · MS Office experience required including extensive Excel knowledge. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills (verbal fluency in Xhosa shall be a huge advantage) · Salary R per annum plus vehicle plus accommodation plus incentive bonuses – all negotiable dependent on past experience / future value add · Prospective candidates must be willing to spend a reasonable amount of time away from home.
