This facsimile of the 1873 edition was limited to 500 copies.Slight wear to upper board as can be seen in the image. Remains of a bookplate on ffep and of other glued in pages that have been removed. Ffep has small (4cm) tear. Small bookseller sticker on rear endpaper. Foreword by Brian Roberts. This is an appreciation dedicated to Sir Henry Barkly, Governor of the Cape Colony and Griqualand West for the support he gave to the opening up of New Rush, as Kimberley was called at that time.
