Senior User Experience (UX) Designer Date: October Location: Durban Employment Type: Permanent Salary Offer: R Experience and Negotiable Description of role: The purpose of the role is to create and own the interaction design of the client Product portfolio. The designer will also have to be mindful of the end-user experience throughout the systems life cycle by collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform complex concepts into simple, appealing products. The Senior User Experience Designer will become part of a growing team of dedicated user-centred design professionals creating compelling, consistent, effective but also enjoyable user experiences for a wide range of projects and clients. The incumbent will play a key role in the analysis of any business complexity, so to translate it into understandable and ready-to-implement solutions Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in design, or other related field Relevant Experience: • 5 + years’ experience with user experience, Interaction design, and Visual Design • Experience with content strategy, web-based development, data visualization, agile/lean processes, usability testing, • Basic programming skills, including CSS, Javascript, and HTML 5 • Versatile design sensibilities • Experience designing responsive and mobile sites a strong plus Role Responsibilities: • Information architecture, you are responsible for creating logical and intuitive structures for websites and interactive applications. • Interaction design, you design an optimal experience for applications or mobile applications. • Usability engineering, you sink your teeth into issues of user-friendliness and anticipate and identify user problems. • Build an amazing user experience across all the sites • Produce highly intuitive, effective flow diagrams, UI sketches, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, user interface design comps, visual design • Create, maintain, and promote interface guidelines, style guides and pattern libraries Mail cv to:
