TWO BOOKS BY ROALD DAHL - DANNY THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD  plus THE GIRAFFE AND THE PELLY AND ME   both paperback books, both published by Puffin, both illustrated.  Danny the Champion of the World; 1977 has no inscriptions but some of the pages have some foxing / browning and some minor shelf wear to the softcover. 173 pages The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me; 1993 does have an inscription neatly written in small writing on the title page hardly any shelf wear and no foxing.
