RESIDENT ENGINEER (MSP) IN SOUTH AFRICA

A leading firm of Consulting Engineers has an opportunity available for Resident Engineer based in East London Core Purpose Construction monitoring on the rehabilitation of National Route. Minimum Requirements ·Bsc Eng, B Eng or B.Tech (Eng), NDip Eng ·Registered Pr.Eng or Pr. Tech Eng ·10 years major road experience on SANRAL projects as Senior RE  Key Responsibilities ·Monitor the contractors progress on site and keep in contact with the clients via the Project Leader ·Refer significant queries on design / engineering matters to the Design Engineer together with approval of materials and alternative design proposals as required ·Ensures that design specs / other problems that may have relevance to future designs are brought to the attention of the Engineer ·Applies relevant and applicable clauses of General Conditions of Contract to the project ·Ensures that the Contractor and his staff understand the obligations under the OHS & Road Traffic Acts ·Communicates with the public via the Community Liaison Officer and reports to the Engineer when necessary ·Attends and/or chairs formal site meetings with the Contractor and client Should you be interested in this opportunity, please email your CV to .
