Job Description: Responsible for timely changeover, set up moulds and work stations Work with Production Assistant and Quality Department on approval of parts Aid in Design jigs, fixtures, conveyer systems, robotics as necessary to meet or improve standards Assist Production Assistants in shift operation as requested Document tooling damage and/or processing issues, maintenance issues as appropriate Sets up all machining equipment related to each job change Works in a team to minimize machine down time and meet or exceed production standards Understands all procedures associated with the handling of hazardous waste Performs all maintenance of the tools/machines as required Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction Performs workspace housekeeping Strong organizational and prioritization skills Ability to communicate verbally and in writing Ability to interpret part drawings, knowledge of plastic part quality requirements, and computer systems required Must have an understanding of the moulds, materials, and machinery Proficiency in technical set-up of moulding machines and working knowledge on establishment of robust processes Job Requirements: Grade 12 Three to Five year’s relevant experience SECTOR: Automotive

Qualifications and experience: Minimum 2 years buying experience in automotive/ heavy equipment parts. Previous inventory experience in earthmoving/ mining equipment will be an advantage. Emphasis on automotive technical skills - having worked as a mechanic or mechanic assistant will be a distinct advantage. Excel reporting requirements - good excel skills a must. Duties: Updating and maintaining parts requisitions from operational sites. Sourcing parts from existing and new suppliers. Receiving parts from suppliers. Issue parts to different operational sites. Scheduling company driver for pick-up and delivery. Daily reporting on inventory movement and quantities in excel. Liaise with affected parties as far as their inventory requirements/ requisitions or reporting requirements are concerned. Salary R18 000.00 TO R 24 000.00 per month
