We currently have around 100 dogs for adoption and our shelter is full! We are in urgent need of adoptions and we really have such stunning and sweet dogs. All the dogs in the photos are available for adoption. Adoption fees are R750 for a small dog and R850 for a large dog. This includes their first injections, de-worming, an IdentiPet microchip and castration or sterilization. PETPALS DESPERATE PLEA! This is an absolutely desperate plea to help us find Sailor and Ferdie a forever home. Sailor is a boy of just under a year old, he was rescued through PETPALS, and Ferdie is a girl of just over a year old, she was rescued through AWS, Helderberg. Both dogs are in foster care together, and have formed an extremely tight bond - they play, eat and sleep together. We therefore want to home them together, if possible. They are in a foster home with several other dogs, but they have chosen each other as soul mates for life. How sad if we had to separate them. They cannot stay in their foster home too much longer, and it will be heart wrenching to bring them back to a kennel environment after having spent several months in this amazing home. We beg you to share their plea and help us find them a home. A home with no small dogs, or young children would suit them well. Sailor and Ferdie have both been sterilised and their vaccinations are up to date. PETPALS has an adoption form to be completed/approved before adoption, and an adoption fee of R350. These sisters are up for adoption for a forever loving home and companion. They were found in Blikkiesdorp by a Tin Can Town Volunteer in mid September and have been fostered in two homes while recovering from mange and being de-wormed. To date they healthy and vaccinated after three vet visits - new owners will need to vaccinate them Nov 1st for their final puppy vac. Personalities: Brown one loves to explore, play and run with the big dogs. Would be a great family dog. White one is a cuddler, brave, good climber and enjoys attention. They've been exposed to beaches, rivers, small local parks, and socialised with other dogs. They know how to sit and are getting better at house-training. Interested new owners are welcome to visit the puppies in their foster home. If interest in one or both of the puppies, the Tin Can Town volunteer will then visit your home to confirm your adoption space is suitable for a medium-sized 20kg dog. There will be an adoption form to sign and an optional donation fee for the Rescue and Sterilisation Organisation: Tin Can Town that works in Delft/Blikkiesdorp.

PLEASE NOTE - we are a welfare organisation that do not support or promote selling of animals. And adoption fee payable is a commitment fee and never covers all medical or other expenses for a rescue animal. This fee is not negotiable and the most responsible way of obtaining a pet is to adopt from welfare. We ensure that all our rescue cats and/or mothers of kittens are tested for Feline Leukaemia (FeLV) and Feline Aids (FIV). Although there is always a risk of any virus being in incubation period at the time of adoption, we try and limit risk by testing and therefore minimising the heartache of possibly losing and/or infecting a beloved pet. We also educate so that all homs adopting from us have their own cats tested as well to ensure a safe adoption. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, deworming, deflea treatment, sterilisation and feline leukaemia vaccinations (which are not standard at all welfares) up to date as well as microchipping with getmeknown chips. Jasmine is approximately 2 years old and an oriental - tabby mix kitten. She is very affectionate and loves human attention. She wants to be cuddled and be at your side all the time. She is a social cat used to dogs and other cats and the perfect companion for any single person or family. She is in foster care in Bellville.

Peggy-Sue is a gorgeous female Boston Terrier cross with the most gorgeous huge ears. She recently turned 1 year old and was surrendered by her owner along with her puppies because the owner had too many grown dogs on his property. She comes from a multi dog household, but due to stress from being in a kennel she has started barking and growling at other dogs. She is amazing with people and loves kids. Shiefra is a gorgeous 3 or 4 year old female Husky. She was surrendered to the shelter when her owner passed away. Shiefra has a stunning, soft nature and she loves attention. She lived with a few other dogs, including a Yorkie, so we know that she is good with other dogs, big and small. She has a lot of energy, so needs a big yard with high fences. Shiefra is a heavy shedder and needs to be brushed at least once a week. She is also good with kids. WHITEY and BROWNIE are two beautiful Labrador X brothers both up for adoption. Their mom was surrendered to Chain and gave birth to these cuties. they have been waiting at Chain ever since with not one enquiry. I believe it is because they have had no exposure on social media or advertising sites. they are being fostered and are overlooked because people only see the dogs at the shelter. I have decided I will home them before Christmas. These two have loveely temperaments typical of labrador. friendly, happy, social and good with kids. However they are not as boisterous or large as Labradors. Much calmer and they are not chewers. They are medium size. Brownie is a bit more shy while Whitey is the more outgoing one. They dont have to be adopted together but it would be amazing if they were as they have grown up together and are very close. They are vaccinated and have been neutered.
