He had such severe mange that he has almost no fur left, he has scared, didn't trust people and he was just skin and bones. Now Spirit is a happy, healthy and fat boy who just loves life! He has been estimated by a vet to be 3 or 4 years old. Spirit has received specialized training and has great manners and a perfect recall, no leash needed! We rescued this sweetheart from an abusive home. I do not want to take him to the spca etc. He deserves a loving home and really wants to be a lapdog. Toby is about 8 months old and we aren't sure how which shots he has had but very healthy and strong dog. He has been dewormed and de-flead. I don't know how he would react to cats but loves our female dog. He I think needs to be the only pet. We have toddlers and he is completely used to them. We have never seen so many tick on a dog before, they had to get to a parlour for dipping and vet for treatment. Raise 'n Rescue (NPC() is a registered WELFARE ORGANSIATION that focus on rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals in need and our animals are NOT FOR SALE, but up for adoption with an adoption fee. All our rescue cats get tested for Feline Leukaemia and Feline Aids either through the mother or individually and although there is always a risk of any virus being in incubation period at the time of adoption, we try and limit risk by testing and therefore minimising the heartache of possibly losing a pet and/or infecting a beloved pet. Kittens without moms get tested from 7/8 weeks. We vaccinated for Leukaemia as well and all our animals leave adopted after being sterilised, first vaccinated, dewormed, deflea'd and microchipped. Smudge was raised with her two brothers in someone's back yard after their mother gave birth to them. They were rescued with their mommy and are all in safe foster home now. Smudge loves to purr and cuddle on her foster dad's chest. She is being fostered in a home where there are dogs and she is slowly getting used to them. She loves to play and will run up and down the scratch post with her kitten friends. She loves to explore too and is a very loving kitten. When you pick her up she becomes like a baby and you can cuddle her easily. She was scared when she was just rescued but now she is getting used to daily life inside a house more and enjoying it. She is also slowly getting use to dogs and she loves playing with feather toys and licking your fingers. Smudge is in Bellville and 11 weeks old.

PETPALS DESPERATE PLEA! This is an absolutely desperate plea to help us find Sailor and Ferdie a forever home. Sailor is a boy of just under a year old, he was rescued through PETPALS, and Ferdie is a girl of just over a year old, she was rescued through AWS, Helderberg. Both dogs are in foster care together, and have formed an extremely tight bond - they play, eat and sleep together. We therefore want to home them together, if possible. They are in a foster home with several other dogs, but they have chosen each other as soul mates for life. How sad if we had to separate them. They cannot stay in their foster home too much longer, and it will be heart wrenching to bring them back to a kennel environment after having spent several months in this amazing home. We beg you to share their plea and help us find them a home. A home with no small dogs, or young children would suit them well. We have about 15 rescued adult cats and older kittens who all urgently need good homes. All of these cats were going to be put down due to no interested in adult shelter cats, so we took them. They are now all looking for their new forever homes. These cats are not spayed or neutered and will only go to new homes with the strict understanding that the new owner will spay or neuter the cats ASAP to avoid increase in the already too big population. Vaccinations to be done by new owner. We have males, females, gingers, black cats, calico kitties, golden oldies, older kittens, long haired and short haired cats! Available for adoption: Motley Motley is an adorable male pigeon seeking a forever home. He was rescued earlier in the year by team member Ilana who removed hair that was tightly wrapped around his toes (resulting in many of them falling off). Every morning he gets fed chopped up fruits and veg, generously sprinkled with seeds and pellets. Motley is a quiet bird besides the occasional coo letting you know he’s the king of his castle. He is semi tame and cuddling him will make your worst days brighter. Motley is happy sitting in his cage but also enjoys out of the cage time where he stands on top of his cage. He enjoys baths and pecking for seeds in a foraging plate. He will be happy indoors (with an appropriate cage and free roaming time) or outdoors (in an aviary). Meet Oliver, as we decided to call him, as this poor boy does not even have a name. Life has not handed Oliver a fair hand. At the tender age of two he finds himself chained in a township. Yes, he was given away by his previous owners to someone in the township!! Oliver is a friendly boy, but not to be homed with cats, free range chickens or birds. Oliver is quite the escape artist so a very secure yard with high walls will be needed. Strict home-check and nominal adoption fee applies (to cover cost for sterilization, vaccination, microchipping, parlour fees etc. which is used to assist other rescued animals in need) and subject to approval. Should you be able to save him and offer him a kind, forever loving home, far away from his life of misery and offer him a kind, safe and loving home, please contact Erma.
