The company designs synchronised back-up turnkey power solutions with modular platforms, including step-up or step-down transformers which allow for the future expansion and reconfiguration of back-up power systems. The successful candidate will be involved from the concept and design stages, through to the programming, installation and commissioning of solutions Duties and Responsibilities • Work with low, medium and high voltage – Loutjie to check • Make detailed plans of the new equipment required, site plans etc. • Repair and upgrade the already existing installations. • Programming of equipment controllers. • Oversee installation of the power generators. • Operate power generators and ensure that they function within the optimum levels. • Act as a consultant and advise clients on the nature of solutions available as well as the viable alternatives. • International Travel to suppliers and installation sites Skills and Specifications • Able to work as a member of a group. • Has a desire to expand knowledge horizons. • Can work independently. • Has a keen eye for detail. • Can meet deadlines. • Able to work overtime. • Have good skills in science and mathematics. • Should be able to detect and solve problems. Education and Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. • Master’s or doctoral degree in order to remain at an advantage.
