AUTO ELECTRICIAN IN SOUTH AFRICA
The applicant will be responsible for attending to breakdowns as directed by the Call Centre Breakdown Controller or Line Manager, by diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults of diesel vehicles as well as conduct their routine maintenance Inspect, test and listen to defective engines / parts to diagnose electrical malfunctions in the event of a breakdown Repair the fault using existing parts where possible Replace faulty parts / systems with new and reconditioned parts / systems Retest vehicles to ensure the problem has been repaired Keep accurate records of faults identified and repairs done to vehicles Maintain records of all parts used for invoicing purposes Perform routine maintenance on the electronically controlled parts and systems on vehicles Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles according to the standard operating procedure Identify any electrical problems and carry out the necessary repairs whilst conducting these routine checks Keep accurate and detailed records or preventative maintenance checks and repairs completed Ensure all work is carried out according to the SHEQ and company standards Ensure vehicles / equipment safety procedures are followed to avoid damage to electrical control units Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and tidy condition Operate equipment and carry out all duties in a safe manor Maintain equipment, protective clothing and work areas in a clean and safe condition
