The successful candidates will assist and resolve process issues in the plant and ensure that the machines are operating optimally and efficiently.   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Proactive and immediate problem solving to ensure reduced failures on product quality and machinery Assist and resolve process issues in the plant Report actively through Operations management plant machinery defects and audit corrective actions. Implement, train and audit corrective actions on plant QC processes and quality criteria with shift managemnt and staff Daily reporting on all findings and recommendations to the Quality Process Manager and Production Manager Ensure the mixing instructions are being followed as per the Bill of materials (BOM) Ensure the correct raw materials are being utilized Ensure correct temparatures on the machines are set as per the BOM Ensure the machines are running as per the set SIC's in term of temparatures, speeds and outputs Ensure that QC check for the first mix for all runs and all that relevant information is being recorded Record and monitor all machine hours, stoppage and breakdowns Ensure that all QC tests are being conducted as per the procedure Check automation resin hourly as per the currently running BOM Ensure small pack are being weighed correctly and that the batch control procedures are being adhered to Ensure the correct materials are being issued to the plant   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 3 - 5 years in a Manufacturing environment Experience in PVC Manufacturing will be advantageous NQF 5 in Plastics Manufacturing or equivalent experience Matric certificate (with Mathematics) plus related qualification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Computer literate Previous working experience in a plastioc manufacturing environment   GENRAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES: Must be an excellent communicator Stron supervisory / Management skills Problem solving  Ability to mange people Good business acumen
