An interesting QSA / WW1 medal group correctly named to 21899 Tpr. A.S.C.Hartigan - 106th Coy, Imp:Yeo. The BWM is named to 8/ Sgt A.S.C.Hartigan - S.A.N.L.C. His records show (also included) that he was not due a Victory medal as part of the SANLC - see picture below. However it seems he may have been due a Victory medal as part of the SA Expeditionery Forces - I have not checked dates of validity so the successful bidder can do some more research on this one. All three clasps on the QSA confirmed (CC /OFS / Tvl). Court mounted for display. A fully confirmed scarce WW2 / SADF medal group to WO Stanley Belton with both the Union medal (numbered 1035) and Pro Merito medal (numbered  130). He serves in East Africa and Abyssinia as T.S.C and then re-musters PF to SA Navy. All the medals are confirmed in his records - see pictures for more details. Interestingly he is nominated twice for the PMM in 1967 and 1970 and only received the medal in 1970. He also earns the clasp to the Union medal (the clasp is mint and SAM marked - also rare). The clasp alone seems to garner a price in excess of R1500 for some reason). His records show his award of the clasp, the medals and the confirmation of the medal numbers - a real find for the collector who looks for scarce combinations. All WW2 medals are also confirmed. A full-size correctly named WW2 and Police medal group to WO Stephanus Jacobus Marais SAP number: 197959. Confirmed POW. See pictures of records below. Court mounted for display. PLEASE note: on the reverse of the medals there is some non-acidic clear silicone, probably to keep the medals in place. The medals are correctly named (see pictures) and are in good condition, no damage - my view. The POW status is also confirmed in King's book on the Police - see pictures.   The above picture shows where some twit used non acidic silicone to keep the medals in place. This does not detract from a good complete POW group. The above picture shows the naming on the 1939/45 Star. Naming on the Police Star of Merit shows he received this medal on the 16/05/1965. SADF / WW2 medal group to 180617 Tpr J.H. Mostert. He needs permission to join the force and joins on the 28th August 1939 (Pioneer Battalion  in Bloemfontein). In 1940 he joins PF and is assigned to the 2nd Battalion - SSB. In 1941 he completes a weapons and radio operator course. he is stationed in North Africa and is wounded in action in 1944. - see pictures confirming this below. A scarce combination of WW 2 medals with a confirmed SADF LS medal.   Medal confirmation above as per his file. Confirmation of his PFLSGCM in the GO's above and confirmation of medal below. Please note - the British War medal - suspender broken off. Replacement ribbon. Group also has a regiment badge and some rings (probably trench type art made by Denner?). I have his records and will provide them to the successful bidder as part of the sale. He is mentioned in Biggens book on Elandslaagte with a note that a duplicate medal was returned. A confirmed WW1 medal group to Pte D.J.Fullard (6428 WW1). Also 3rd SAI - E Company. Wounded at Delville Wood on the 15th July 1916. He joins the Southern Rifles on the 24th October 1914 and sees action in GSWA. He is discharged on the 20th July 1915 and re-enlists on the 11th October 1915 and qualifies as a sniper. He is wounded in action on the 15th July 1916, shot in the left hand. He is transferred to Calais and then on to England. He is reflected on the roll call taken on the evening of the 14th July 1916.
