SADF / WW2 medal group to 180617 Tpr J.H. Mostert. He needs permission to join the force and joins on the 28th August 1939 (Pioneer Battalion  in Bloemfontein). In 1940 he joins PF and is assigned to the 2nd Battalion - SSB. In 1941 he completes a weapons and radio operator course. he is stationed in North Africa and is wounded in action in 1944. - see pictures confirming this below.
