WW1 MEDAL GROUP - DELVILLE WOOD IN SOUTH AFRICA
A confirmed WW1 medal group to Pte D.J.Fullard (6428 WW1). Also 3rd SAI - E Company. Wounded at Delville Wood on the 15th July 1916. He joins the Southern Rifles on the 24th October 1914 and sees action in GSWA. He is discharged on the 20th July 1915 and re-enlists on the 11th October 1915 and qualifies as a sniper. He is wounded in action on the 15th July 1916, shot in the left hand. He is transferred to Calais and then on to England. He is reflected on the roll call taken on the evening of the 14th July 1916. He is also gassed by the enemy at some point. Court mounted for display - research will be mailed to the successful bidder. All medals confirmed and correctly impressed.
