WW2 AND POLICE MEDAL GROUP - POW CONFIRMED IN SOUTH AFRICA

A full-size correctly named WW2 and Police medal group to WO Stephanus Jacobus Marais SAP number: 197959. Confirmed POW. See pictures of records below. Court mounted for display. PLEASE note: on the reverse of the medals there is some non-acidic clear silicone, probably to keep the medals in place. The medals are correctly named (see pictures) and are in good condition, no damage - my view. The POW status is also confirmed in King's book on the Police - see pictures.   The above picture shows where some twit used non acidic silicone to keep the medals in place. This does not detract from a good complete POW group. The above picture shows the naming on the 1939/45 Star. Naming on the Police Star of Merit shows he received this medal on the 16/05/1965. Naming on the Police Good Service Medal. The above confirms his POW status (Terence King book). Marais's name just above the ruler. WW2 medals confirmed in his records.
