For more information please see our website www.wkint.co.za Summary of Position: The Occupational Health Nurse is an Occupational Nursing Practitioner who will determine the fitness for duty of patients based on physical examinations and necessary testing. This position is suitable for a vibrant individual who would like to work on clients sites. The Nurse will examine patients and refer them to the clinic/doctor if need be. The Nurse will form part of the Onsite/Mobile team, travelling around the country especially around Gauteng. Summary of Responsibilities: Perform physical examinations on patients as well as relevant testing (blood, urine, vaccinations.) as per client protocols or requests. Determine fitness for duty of patients and sign approval of fitness. When required, act as liaison with laboratory, doctors, clients and stakeholders. Ensure follow-up on recurrent patients. Refer files with abnormal blood test results, HIV+ patients or any other condition that fall outside your scope of practice to the OMP.
