DAIRY FARM MANAGER IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Dairy Farm Manager will be responsible for the overall running and management of the pasture based dairy farm with +-450 cows in milk, about 120ha under irrigation and 26 staff. The Manager will assume the following responsibilities: Manage the dairy operation. Specifically ensure that key drivers of successful dairy farming are achieved. These are currently being tracked by the Afikim system. Monitor and manage fodder flow planning and associated activities related to pastures and crops. Manage the workforce to ensure labour efficiency. Ensure that the operation is run in line with budgets which have been agreed too. Manage day-to-day breakdowns and schedule maintenance of equipment on the farm. In order to be considered applicants will need relevant livestock and general farm management experience and the ability to work independently.
