FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR & ADMINISTRATOR: You are the first point of contact – the face and voice of Long Street Hotel. You will welcome visitors and take calls in a warm and professional manner. You will appreciate the importance of hospitality & the significance of being at the forefront of a successful business. You will assist the General Manager in ensuring the reservations revenue is maximised, a smooth and efficient administrative function at the front desk is maintained and that guests are kept happy and informed at all times. Key Responsibilities: • Accommodate visitors & clients and assist with any tourism related information • Operate switchboard and assist potential clients with relevant reservation information • Record, file and track all outgoing and incoming email traffic • Manage all matters pertaining to reception/office appearance and utilities • Maintain inventory of rooms and to ensure revenue is maximised • Ensure accurate and up to date guest invoicing in property management system • Assist with administrative tasks and provide research and administrative support where necessary • Perform duties as required and directed by manager Requirements: Grade 12 Pass & Hotel school qualification Previous Front desk experience in a 3 or 4 star hotel Essential Skills: • Excellent communication and telephone skills (fluent, spoken and written English) • Good computer skills – efficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Exceptional & meticulous administration skills • Nightsbridge Web Booking Engine knowledge advantageous Key Characteristics: • Friendly personality – approachable, outgoing, assertive •Good organisational skills: ability to prioritise, action, follow up and multi-task • Flexible and resourceful at problem-solving • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
