Later in the story, the bully girl approaches Miranda and asks for her forgiveness and friendship. Tears flow as Miranda comforts the girl and explains to her the way forward. Having witnessed unbelievable brutality and starvation exacted on an eleven year old waif named Elizabeth, Miranda sees no alternative to bringing her home to the year 2015. much to the amazement of her parents!
