War british pattern

This is a very scarce Original British Pattern 1879 Artillery Carbine "Sawback" Bayonet, in use from about 1879 to 1900. They were designed to fit the Martini-Henry Carbine. This Bayonet has a South African history which makes it so interesting. The blade 25" long by 7/8" wide, single fluted blade both sides. MANUFACTURED IN APRIL 1894, ORIGINAL BRITISH PATTERN 1888 ANGLO-BOER WAR LEE-METFORD BAYONET WITH LEATHER FROG AND SCABBARD. BAYONET AND SCABBARD SHARE THE SAME SERIAL NUMBERS. APPEARS TO HAVE BELONGED TO BRITISH SOLDIER OF THE "DISTRICT MOUNTED RIFLES". COMPLETE. SEE ALL PICTURES.
