I devised this course, so as to; provide voice and communication training for male-to-female (MtF) clients and for female-to-male (FtM) clients. In general, men and women communicate differently. For example, most men tend to speak with lower pitched voices, while women use higher pitched voices. Women often use more gestures when they speak. Men may use shorter sentences that get more to the point. Individuals who are transgender/transsexual often elect to have voice and communication therapy to help them use their voice in a safe way and communicate more like the opposite gender of that in which they were born. Benefits: • A chance to practice vocal skills in a conversational context. • Increased confidence and self-advocacy in a safe, inviting environment. • The opportunity to share information about the transgender community. • An occasion to interact with other women around shared experiences. • An important interaction between skill-building and relationship-building in the therapeutic process. • Establishing emotional expression and intensity levels when communicating. Biblically sound and cutting-edge fresh, Bad Girls already has helped thousands of women experience God's grace anew by learning more about our nefarious sisters. And there are more where they came from! With Really Bad Girls of the Bible, Liz reveals the power of God's sovereignty in the lives of other shady ladies we know by reputation but have rarely studied in depth: Bathsheba, the bathing beauty. Jael, the tent-peg-toting warrior princess. Herodias, the horrible beheader. Tamar, the widow and not-so-timid temptress. Athaliah, the deadly daughter of Jezebel. And three ancient women whose names we do not know but who have much to teach us: the ashamed Adulteress, the bewitching Medium of En Dor, and the desperate Bleeding Woman. The eye-opening stories of these eight "Really Bad" women demonstrate one really life-changing concept: the sovereign power of God to rule our hearts and our lives with grace, compassion, and hope. From Charlotte's writing desk and the manuscripts it contained to the brass collar worn by Emily's dog, Keeper, each object opens a window onto the sisters' world, their fiction and the Victorian era. By unfolding the histories of the things they used, the chapters form a chronological biography of the family. A walking stick evokes Emily's solitary hikes on the moors and the stormy heath-itself a character in Wuthering Heights. Charlotte's bracelet containing Anne and Emily's intertwined hair gives voice to her grief over their deaths. These possessions pull us into their daily lives: the imaginary kingdoms of their childhood writing, their time as governesses and their stubborn efforts to make a mark on the world. Features Summary An intimate portrait of the lives and writings of the Bronte sisters, drawn from the objects they possessed. Born on the wrong side of a racial divide in apartheid-torn Cape Town, young sisters Ruby and Rose exist in a world where they are not welcome. As part of the Cape Colored community, they are considered socially inferior, yet even within their own social group the sisters live in the poor end of town. Their father was killed when they were very small, so when their mother dies after a protracted illness, Ruby and Rose’s fate falls into the hands of Aunt Olive. Ruby knows without being told that their aunt’s home will not be opened up to them – charity does not extend to the poor relations who would cast a smudge on such a respectable house. Aunt Olive condemns her nieces to the local orphanage, relieving her conscience with monthly invitations to Sunday lunch. In the orphanage the girls grow up sheltered from a divided world that they do not yet fully understand, but the day approaches when Ruby and Rose must forge their own paths in life and confront the lessons that apartheid enforces.

What should be the main goal of any pronunciation class or course? What are the kinds of exercises that will help you improve your pronunciation? First, the main goal of any Elocution/pronunciation course should be to focus on accent reduction, not accent elimination, which is technically impossible. Students should work on reducing areas of their pronunciation and enunciation that make it difficult for native speakers to understand them. Second, with this goal in mind, students need to be able to identify which areas of pronunciation and enunciation give them the most inaudibility; such as, vowel and consonant sounds, word and sentence stress, word reductions, linking, and intonation. Finally, you need to practice these structured exercises to extemporaneous speech in different situations, because practice makes perfect. Improving your pronunciation will take a lot of patience and commitment, but the end product - your unique, well developed voice - is worth it! SKYPE LESSONS AVAILABLE
