A friend of their sisters is having a hard time finding a job after his cottage is sold with part of an old estate. Now jobless Rosanna's friend leaves his son, Arthur, who is just a bit younger than her brothers and sisters until his father can find a new job. Neither Prue or Tiger really appreciates having him hang around. Rosanna tries to remind them that Arthur's mother is dead too and it's hard on his father not having a job and it will just be for a "little while."
