On Active Service Navy Envelope,passed and signed by censor with the scarce blue censor cachet from HM ships.  Yellow/brown marks on front and back and creased as is with these old envelopes. Envelope is not open. Torn on back bottom left flap. UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA, not your average flight cover, Imperial Airways flight cover franked with stamps from GOCH, OFS, and Union, cover send to Athens, cancelled 1932 January 27, NOTE, most covers from this date to England were on the crashed flight in Northern Rhodesia, thus the possibility exist this was one of them, The date received in Athens seems to be 13 November 1932, view scans for condition as it form part of the description,  Cover opened on top, right side flap on back not glued on envelope and some spots. Please view scans, due to lack of evidence thus the low price.  1932-01-29 B  Imperial Airways De Havilland DH 66 “City of Delhi” crashed in Northern Rhodesia on the official First Flight from South Africa to England.  

Union Castle Line S.S. "Dover Castle" 14 11 06 Most attractive and very scarce complete menu with both sections still joined, cancelled "Plymouth Ship Letter NO 22 06" and addressed to Kent. The writer"s message start of with "This is not the Dover Castle". The "Dover Castle" was a single funnel Intermediate Steamer and it appears that this twin funnel vignette menu was available on many of the Union Castle ships. The ship's vignette is based on a photograph of the "Dunvegan Castle" during its trials on the river Clyde in 1896. Condition as per scan(s) which form part of the description. Union Castle Line (Jul 10 1900) South African Royal Mail Service post card (on CGH 1d postal stationery card) with attractive standard multi-coloured vignette of a Castle Liner with the ship's name R.M.S. DUNVEGAN CASTLE" printed separately as a heading. Postally used in the Cape Colony Ocean Post Office with code "H" of the "Dunvegan Castle" addressed to Germany.
