UNION CASTLE LINE 1900 VERY SCARCE VIGNETTE POST CARD WITH IN SOUTH AFRICA

Union Castle Line (Jul 10 1900) South African Royal Mail Service post card (on CGH 1d postal stationery card) with attractive standard multi-coloured vignette of a Castle Liner with the ship's name R.M.S. DUNVEGAN CASTLE" printed separately as a heading. Postally used in the Cape Colony Ocean Post Office with code "H" of the "Dunvegan Castle" addressed to Germany. The ship's vignette is based on a photograph of the "Dunvegan Castle" during its trials on the river Clyde in 1896. Condition as per scan(s) which form part of the description.
