This classic yet contemporary wine blend, comprising three cultivars, is a celebration of nature. The varieties each lend their own character to the wine. The Semillon starts as a youthful, fresh green leafy flavour that will mature into honeyed, waxy flavours as the wine evolves. The Sauvignon Blanc adds a tropical fruit and green apple flavour with a zesty acidity. The Viognier supports the acid with richness and stone fruit flavours that will become more prominent as the wine ages in the bottle. Brimming with aromas and flavours of tropical fruits, including litchi, papaya and granadilla This wine has been made in a style that will change and develop over time in the bottle

Passiflora quadrangularis  Seeds Passiflora quadrangularis, also named Passiflora macrocarpa or Giant Granadilla, is a perennial vine, looking much like Passiflora alata, but its flowers are bigger. Native to Central and South America it is grown for its large ornamental fragrant flowers and the large fruits. It climbs by means of clinging tendrils and can be kept as a container plant. The long tendrils need lots of support for climbing. It is a fast growing vine which can grow over 15 meters high. It may be grown as a houseplant in a sunny window. A vigorous tropical vine with large bright green oval leaves, 7-13 cm long, 6-10 cm wide. The stems are quadrangular in shape. One of the loveliest and most exotic of the Passion flowers producing gorgeous purple, white and blue banded fragrant flowers, measuring 8-10 cm across in a long succession from mid-Summer to Autumn. It produces giant green to yellow Passion fruits reaching over one foot in diameter. The pulp is white or greyish and is not as flavourful as the common Passion fruit, but still tasty and often eaten or used in drinks. It rarely produces fruit under greenhouse conditions but makes up for this by the sheer glory of its flowers. Pruning is a must to keep the vine healthy. Prune off less vigorous growth and occasionally prune back vigorous growth to promote flowering. When established, and without care, the passion fruit can easily overtake other garden plants, shading them from sun. Protect from frost or plant in frost free areas. The Giant Granadilla is hardy to 35°F when mature, frost tender when young. Provide ideally a temperature of 15°- 28°C. Keep the atmosphere humid through the summer and place in full sun, can tolerate partial shade. Passiflora quadrangularis loves the warm humid Tropics. You may need to water your plants on a daily basis during the hottest summer months. During the winter the roots should be kept moist, but as growth will be much slower you will probably only need to water once a week, depending on growing temperature. It will do best in a loam based mix with a little peat moss. If their pot is too large or if they have an unrestricted root run then the whole plant will simply get bigger and bigger but it will refuse to flower and therefore produce the fruits. By limiting the pot size you are limiting the ability to grow and this is seen as a threat, so the natural mechanism is to produce seed for the next generation. A suitably sized pot for an adult plant would generally be of 30cm in diameter. On offer is a pack of 5 Seeds

Lepismium is a small genus of a dozen species from tropical South America. They need a light, well-drained soil. They like shade and some humidity, but in general, will take temperature close to freezing for short periods. They are propagated by cuttings or seed and do great in pots, rockeries and hanging baskets. Lepismium species are either Epiphytic or Lithophytic -meaning tree-dwellers or rock dwellers. They typically grow as hanging masses of many-branched stems that branch off from the middle of the stems.             The stems vary from flat, to angled, to rounded in cross-section. Flowers arise along the sides of the stems and often line the entire length of the stem on both sides. The flowers themselves are relatively small, though generally larger than those in the similar genus Rhipsalis. Several Lepismium species feature colored flowers and other have white flowers, either of these turning into bright colored fruits later on. These species largely occur in Bolivia, but are also found in adjacent Brazil and Argentina. Some species are quite common in cultivation while others are virtually unknown to growers. Like other epi-cacti, this species requires wetter, more tropical conditions than their desert counterparts. Lepismium ianthothele is a relatively rare cactus with erect to drooping branches that grow from 30cm to 60cm long. They start off erect and as they age they start drooping under their own weight. Synonyms include Cereus ianthothele, Pfeiffera ianthothele, Rhipsalis ianothothele, Rhipsalis cereiformis, Pfeiffera erecta, Lepismium erectum, Pfeiffera mataralensis, Lepismium mataralense, Pfeiffera multigona and Pfeiffera gracilis.

Xeroderris is a monotypic tropical African genus that is placed in the Fabaceae family. Xeroderris stuhlmannii is the only specie in the genus. It is  indigenous to South Africa’s Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces but also naturally occurs in seasonally dry regions from Senegal and Guinea eastwards to Kenya, and southwards to Mozambique.  Xeroderris stuhlmannii or Wing Pod Tree as it is commonly known is a spreading tree that can attain 10 meters in height. It has greyish bark and fresh green compound leaves. During spring it bears stunning sprays of small pea-shaped white flowers. It has a medium growth rate and is considered to be an important food plant in tropical Africa because of the edible seeds that it produces. Previously it was named Ostryoderris stuhlmannii. The wood is used for furniture, railway sleepers, canoes, handles and utensils.           In Tanzania the wood is locally used to make grain mortars. In Ghana the branches are used for making roofs. The wood is suitable for heavy construction, flooring, vehicle bodies, sporting goods, interior trim, joinery, poles and piles, carving, toys and novelties, turnery, veneer and plywood. It is also used as firewood and for the production of charcoal. The bark contains a fibre, which is sometimes used to make brooms. In Zambia the bark is used for tanning hides. The red bark exudate is sometimes used as a dye and for tanning. Seeds are eaten in times of food shortage after prolonged cooking, as they are reported to be poisonous in fresh condition. They are also ground to produce a meal. In Tanzania Xeroderris stuhlmannii is considered useful for wind breaks. Leaves and fruits are browsed by livestock. The bark is used in traditional medicine to treat coughs, colds, rheumatic arthritis, stomach-ache, dysentery, eye infections, wounds, and as a purgative. Root decoctions serve as a vermifuge; they are taken to treat elephantiasis, gonorrhea, syphilis, dysmenorrhea, chest pains and urinary complaints, and applied externally against ringworm. Pounded roots are applied to sores. The leaves are used to treat colds, coughs, wounds, stomach problems, amenorrhea, fever and malaria. LARGE SEEDS - PLEASE SEE THE SHIPPING TAB ABOVE

Momordica balsamina also known as the Balsam Apple, Cundeamor, or Southern Balsam pear or simply Balsam Pear, is a curious, tendril-bearing annual vine native to the tropical regions of Africa. Although the pale yellow, deeply veined flowers of the Balsam Apple have a subtle beauty, its round, somewhat warty, bright orange fruits, or "Apples", are its most distinguishing feature. When ripe, the fruits burst apart, revealing numerous seeds covered with a brilliant scarlet, extremely sticky coating. The Balsam Apple was introduced into Europe by 1568 and was used medicinally to treat wounds. In 1810 Thomas Jefferson planted this vine in his flower borders at Monticello along with larkspur, poppies, and nutmeg Plant. While the leaves are safe to eat, the seeds can be toxic if too many are ingested. Although they do sell Balsam supplements, like all things moderation is key. In Mozambique, this plant is known as cacana and in rural areas it is used as an anti-malarial. People usually drink water from its boiled leaves and young fruit to treat malaria. Perennial climber, leaf margins irregularly toothed, orange-red knobbed fruit, edible. Sow Spring. Passiflora, known also as the passion flowers or passion vines, is a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants, the namesakes of the family Passifloraceae. They are mostly vines, with some being shrubs, and a few species being herbaceous. A number of species of Passiflora are cultivated outside their natural range for their beautiful flowers and delicious edible fruit. Hundreds of hybrids have been named; hybridizing is currently being done extensively for flowers, foliage and fruit. Most species have round or elongated edible fruit from 5cm to 20cm long and 2.5cm to 5cm across, depending upon the species or cultivar.         Passiflora will adjust to any kind of soil, except desert conditions or very alkaline soil. Prefers full sun but will do with a light place or even half-shade. Passiflora need abundant watering during the growing season. In winter watering can significantly be reduced but good soil moisture must be maintained. Passiflora capsularis commonly known as Red Granadilla, bears vanilla scented delicate white flowers around 5cm in diameter. It produces unusual looking ribbed ellipsoid fruits reddish purple in color, which are not edible. It grows readily in tropical climates, tolerating down to 5°C and even lower for short spells. It flowers and grows readily even in small pots.

Washingtonia is a genus of palms, native to the southwestern United States and northwest Mexico. Both Washingtonia species are commonly cultivated across the United States, the Middle East, southern Europe, and North Africa, where they have greatly hybridized. They are fan palms of the Corypheae tribe. The flowers are in a dense inflorescence, with the fruits maturing into a small blackish-brown drupe 6–10 mm diameter with a thin layer of sweet flesh over the single seed. The fruit is edible, and was used by Native American people as a minor food source. They are also eaten by birds, which disperse the seeds in their droppings after digesting the fruit pulp. Native to the desert regions of Mexico, Washingtonia robusta are fast growing palms and one of the easiest palms to grow from seed. Its crown of large bright green, fan-shaped evergreen fronds provide a very tropical appearance to the landscape. Also makes a nice conservatory plant inside when grown in a full sun location. This palm is also very hardy and can withstand several degrees below freezing without appreciable damage. This palm takes drought and poor soil but does grow faster when provided better growing conditions. Cold hardy to -9°C, they are fast growing trees and can eventually grow 25 – 30 meters but can be maintained much smaller when container grown. On offer is a pack of 10 Seeds
