Alpine Strawberry 'White Soul'   Botanical Name: Fragaria vesca Exposure: Sun to Partial Shade Bloom Time and Color: White or near white blooms in late summer to early autumn. Description: Alpine strawberry is a low-growing, compact perennial about 25cm high with a spread of 20cm. Flowers are round-petaled in flat clusters on a separate stalk from the leaves. The fruit is a small, white in color, cone-shaped berry studded with tiny, brown seeds. They have a fragrance and taste more delicate than the larger cultivated berries. Alpine strawberries grow quickly and are ever-bearing. Once the fruit appears, the plant will continue to bear all season. These seeds can be lightly sown onto a seed tray filled with potting compost. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of compost - no more than 1/4 inch - and gently water in. Transfer the seed tray to a cold, greenhouse or even a well lit room as both are suitable for germination which should take anywhere between 2 and 8 weeks. Once the strawberry plants have germinated, wait for the 3rd true leaves to appear and then transplant into bigger containers or if weather permits, the plants can be planted directly outside in to their final position.   Forget Me Not (Myosotis Alpestris White)   What a charming little treasure for the spring garden! White Forget-Me-Not is quite easy to grow from flower seeds. It has multiple, somewhat bristly stems densely covered by delicate white flowers with yellow eyes, and hairy gray-green foliage. This perennial plant is a sweet little addition to the early flowering garden. Directly sow Forget Me Not flower seeds in prepared soil in the garden in spring.   KOHLRABI WHITE (55 days) Brassica oleracea Kohlrabi is actually a member of the cabbage family, but the edible part is actually an enlarged stem. Best harvested when the stem reaches 50-75mm. Many people use the young leaves in salads or steamed. This variety has a light-green skinned exterior, white interior, and is a bit smaller than the Purple Vienna Kohlrabi, but with a slightly faster growth rate. Plant kohlrabi in rich soil about 6mm deep. They love moisture once established and will benefit from an ample side dressing of compost. Continue to sow every 2-3 weeks for a continuous crop.
