An interesting QSA / WW1 medal group correctly named to 21899 Tpr. A.S.C.Hartigan - 106th Coy, Imp:Yeo. The BWM is named to 8/ Sgt A.S.C.Hartigan - S.A.N.L.C. His records show (also included) that he was not due a Victory medal as part of the SANLC - see picture below. However it seems he may have been due a Victory medal as part of the SA Expeditionery Forces - I have not checked dates of validity so the successful bidder can do some more research on this one. All three clasps on the QSA confirmed (CC /OFS / Tvl). Court mounted for display. Research does not form part of this sale but can be purchased at R150.00.        Here he seems due for a Victory medal??.  Naming on the QSA is correct - see picture above. QSA naming - see picure above. All three clasps confirmed - see above. BWM naming - see picture above. Naming on the BWM - see picture above. Regret No  Overseas bidders. NO SAPO for domestic bidders - only POSTNET (R120.00) or Courier (Please wait for charges). Please do not ask for SAPO as I will delete your bid and register an SNC, even if you win. If you don't like the postage options - Don't bid. Only SA bidders who can access Bobpay or the CC facility should bid. No paypal. Postnet costs include packaging and transport. IF YOU PAY ONLY THE STANDARD  POSTNET COSTS I WILL WITHHOLD THE ITEM UNTIL THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT IS PAID. Payment to be completed within 48 hours of winning bid confirmation

A full-size correctly named WW2 and Police medal group to WO Stephanus Jacobus Marais SAP number: 197959. Confirmed POW. See pictures of records below. Court mounted for display. PLEASE note: on the reverse of the medals there is some non-acidic clear silicone, probably to keep the medals in place. The medals are correctly named (see pictures) and are in good condition, no damage - my view. The POW status is also confirmed in King's book on the Police - see pictures.   The above picture shows where some twit used non acidic silicone to keep the medals in place. This does not detract from a good complete POW group. The above picture shows the naming on the 1939/45 Star. Naming on the Police Star of Merit shows he received this medal on the 16/05/1965. Naming on the Police Good Service Medal. The above confirms his POW status (Terence King book). Marais's name just above the ruler. WW2 medals confirmed in his records. A nice complete Police WW2 POW medal group. Worthy of much more research. Above WW2 record shows him missing and then confirmed POW. Overseas bidders welcome but you retain the risk of postage. No paypal - only Creditcard. NO SAPO for domestic bidders - only POSTNET (R120.00) or Courier (Please wait for charges). Please do not ask for SAPO as I will delete your bid and register an SNC, even if you win. If you don't like the postage options - Don't bid. An original miniature Military medal / Boer War / WW1 / WW2 / Territorial Force Efficiency medal group with bar. Not attributed but I believe could be researched accordingly. Medals are mounted for wear and judging by the tone of the medals are all original and not copies.
