A fully confirmed and correctly named QSA / WW 1 medal group to Pte Samuel Denner (Devon regiment). Please see pictures for all the information about this group. Please note - the British War medal - suspender broken off. Replacement ribbon. Group also has a regiment badge and some rings (probably trench type art made by Denner?). I have his records and will provide them to the successful bidder as part of the sale. He is mentioned in Biggens book on Elandslaagte with a note that a duplicate medal was returned. The QSA is with clasps ELANDSLAAGTE,RELIEF OF MAFEKING, TRANSVAAL & DEFENCE OF LADYSMITH. The KSA has the clasp pair of SOUTH AFRICA 1901 & 1902. The clasps are detached from the medals. (see the close-up pics) Miniature medals with swivel suspenders and riveted clasps.

J.J Lagorie of South African Light Horse Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1901 with documents  as per photo The SA 01 clasp was issued on 14.5.09 to his father (noted on roll 100/275 of March 9, 1903) & is added to the CC, OFS bars. The naming has rub marks 26541 Farrier Jas Jos Lagorie SALH died in hospital at Kroonstad on 24 December 1901. The casualty roll has his father's number as this was lightly entered under his correct service number on August 17, 1904 roll    

Boer War QSA Disk *Mafeking Town Guard*   Disk is not in good condition and is very worn. Can just make the name out.   W. HUBBARD MAFEKING TOWN GD   According to medal roll he was entitled to Defence of Mafeking clasp.                      

For sale is an original full-size Queens South Africa Medal with South Africa 1901 clasp to a member of a famous Natal family - Cyril William Bamber. The Natal Carbineers, it is claimed, are Natal's oldest (some say South Africa's) volunteer regiment and one with an illustrious past. Accompanying the medal which is in excellent condition, is some research material which will be posted on to the buyer. Bamber is in the attached family photo and there is quite a bit about him on Ancestry.
