It the Baconfest done right!  On Saturday the 29th November The South African Baconfest celebrates the love of bacon at La Bottega Restaurant at Buchanan square 160 Sir Lowry Rd, Woodstock in Cape Town. The event is divided into two sittings, afternoon and evening, where you can pig out to your heart’s content, on all dishes presented including 2 x 500ml Boston Lager Draught beer for the price of R250 a ticket. On the main menu are the following bacon inspired dishes carefully prepared by our chefs at the new 11 Kitchen venue which is situated in Woodstock: Chicken twizzlers wrapped in bacon, Beef twizzlers wrapped in bacon, Baby potatoes wrapped in bacon on a skewer, Mealies wrapped in bacon on a stick, Candy bacon on a stick, Bacon chilli poppers, Mini bacon and peppadew pizzas, Pigs in a bacon blanket, Chicken drumsticks wrapped in bacon, crackling and bacon popcorn. There is a full bar available, as well as the entire beer range on tap from Boston Breweries.
