We require a Junior Draughtsman for our offices in Pietermaritzburg.  REQUIREMENTS: ·         Matric ·         Intermediate Computer Literacy on MS Office ·         Autocad Qualification ·         1-2 years’ experience in a similar position ·          Knowledge and Experience in Vehicle Design/ Drawings/Specifications would be advantageous. ·         Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills ·         Must be meticulous, accurate and have good planning and organising skills.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   ·         Designing ·         Drawing of specifications ·         Bill of materials ·         Cutting list for workshop ·         Work with ISO ·         Creation of all new ISO Documents as required from time to time. ·         Quality Control Process in relation to the receiving and dispatch of vehicles ·         Production Quality Control Checks ·         Costing and Quotations for Tenders.   Remuneration: ·         R-R.  Please apply before the 10 October . I hold a B.Eng Degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and have five years work experience mainly in the sheet metal and make to order environment using AutoCAD, Solidworks and ncCAD32. I am a Certified Solidworks Associate and am working towards the Certified Solidworks Engineer Certification which I hope to achieve within the next 12 months. My roles and responsibilities in my current position include the following: Provide mechanical design and development of new products for the expedition and camping market. Provide mechanical design and development of new products for the shopfitting and point of sale market. Perform in team environment project execution with engineers belonging to other disciplines and nationalities. Resolve problems and improve manufacturability and serviceability of products working with manufacturing and service personnel. Develop and recommend changes if any for manufacturing processes. Reduce product cost and improve design performance working with other groups on value engineering initiatives. Prepare engineering drawings using Solidworks (BOM, Weldments, Sheet Metal, Multibody Parts, Plastics, FEA, Animation e.t.c), AutoCAD and CNC Programming using ncCAD32.
