Rocking Horse Cape White Blend is composed of a core of old parcels of Chardonnay, Semillon and Chenin Blanc. Roussanne brings a modern edge to this Cape white blend. The aromas are of gooseberry, clementine/naartjie peel, peach, lavender, rosemary and burnt sugar In the mouth, the wine starts broad and rich, resolving into a keen line of acidity and pithy tannin that finishes on an oyster­bed salinity

Miss Lucy is one of seven nicknames given to the critically endangered Red Stumpnose fish by Cape fisherman, and the Bruwer family, who loves fishing, made this wine as a tribute to the ocean and summer holidays spent on the coast. The grapes used in creating this unique white blend originated from Tokara's premium vineyards on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. The wine is full and rich as it passes onto the palate with a creaminess on the mid-palate leading to a long finish of great balance. This classic yet contemporary wine blend, comprising three cultivars, is a celebration of nature. The varieties each lend their own character to the wine. The Semillon starts as a youthful, fresh green leafy flavour that will mature into honeyed, waxy flavours as the wine evolves. The Sauvignon Blanc adds a tropical fruit and green apple flavour with a zesty acidity. The Viognier supports the acid with richness and stone fruit flavours that will become more prominent as the wine ages in the bottle. Brimming with aromas and flavours of tropical fruits, including litchi, papaya and granadilla This wine has been made in a style that will change and develop over time in the bottle

A red bend of classic cultivars Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and Merlot with a complex concentration of fruit and flavour, an easy drinker for fun times. Pleasantly refreshing if chilled in summer and a good accompaniment to cheese, light barbeque meals and spicy seafood.

This was a challenging vintage with one of the driest seasons on record. It necessitated a strict selection in the vineyard. Several passes in picking were done to try to pick at the right flavour development, because different parts of the vineyard matured quite differently. For the first time in making this wine, each variety was picked and pressed separately (at their ideal ripeness) and then blended before fermentation. A balance between the richness and perfume of the roussanne and viognier, and the fruit and freshness of the chenin and verdelho Vintage has a very tight structure with a good acidity This wine should round out nicely over the next 2 - 3 years
