The little girl is so scared, she cannot even bear to look at you Her friend DIESEL and her are two of the saddest, most scared doggies I've seen:(No longer wanted, they simply cower in the corner of the kennel:((Diesel is his little friend's protector - it is so clear in the way he sits right next to her and tries to comfort her; it truly is heartbreaking...All cats and dogs that are adopted from an SPCA will be sterilised to prevent them from either having (or siring) any unwanted litters; they will be vaccinated to safeguard them from contracting diseases such as distemper or parvovirus; they will be dewormed to assist in the elimination of internal parasites, they may also be dipped to ensure that there are no external parasites; and they will receive some form of identification (either a microchip or a collar bearing an ID disc). This is what prospective owners are paying for whenever they adopt an animal from an SPCA. The actual animal is for free!! Whilst on another rescue mission we also came across this poor dog that had bad head injury AND flies and fleas were feasting on the open sores.
