Due to the natural lanolin in the wool, genuine Lambswool tends to be self-cleaning. Daily airing will keep your Lambswool fresh and help maintain its self-cleaning properties. Your carefully selected Lambswool may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibres are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance. A vigorous shake will also help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days. Storage of Lambswool: Should you wish to store your Lambskin at any time, place it in a cool airy place avoiding direct sunlight. Packaging is plastic bags or a box for an extended period of time is not recommended as the Lambskin fibres will not breathe and condensation may occur in warm conditions. Whilst we endeavour to provide helpful information, washing and drying of Lambskin are done at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen damage that may occur. LambsWool Washing: Should a Lambskin come into contact with urine, it should be washed as soon as possible after soiling to maximize the life of Lambskin. Brushing of LambsWool: After washing the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry.
