MECHANICAL FOREMAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

Minimum Qualifications:  Matric / Grade 12 / N3 certificate  Trade test certificate  Supervisory diploma / certificate  Leadership / management training   Health, safety, quality & environmental knowledge   Lean manufacturing principles knowledge  Key Tasks: Manage the entire maintenance mechanical team  Liaise with the local municipality Monitor and implement systems  Ensure repairs are carried out on cranes, presses, mills, slitting, buffing and hose machines Fault finding and repairs on all plant equipment  Mechanical repairs to compressors and/or on all plant equipment  Ensure all legal registers assigned to your section are done according to OHSA Make sure all changes and repairs are mechanically designed properly and in accordance with company  standards  Mange the completion of all schedules in your department  Manage your teams in accordance with required disciplines  Coordinate weekend work including risk assessments, labour and spares  Maintain critical spares list for the plant  Maintain and assist with HSE implementation  Maintain and assist with Lean implementation  Adhere to all safety rules and regulation  Salary to be discussed in interview.
