MATERIAL CONTROLLER IN SOUTH AFRICA

Minimum requirements: NQF 4 qualification. Computer skills (BAAN). High level of attention to detail and be able to prioritize work. Analytical abilities. Ability to use own initiative. Good people and communication skills. Basic administration skills. Confidentiality. Work shifts and overtime if and when required. Key responsibilities: Leading the team by being a living example. Ensuring the timeous and accurate issuing of stock to the production line. (NO LINE STOPPAGES). Maintaining the FIFO system (Engineering level changes) on products received and products issued. Accurate and effective stock control. Daily liaison with Buyers regarding stock levels and requirements. Daily cycle counts on all components in the stores. (Rebate as per schedule). Ensuring that all parts received from suppliers including internal suppliers are of the correct standard counted and properly packed (identification, FIFO and quantity) by the team. Ensuring that the BAAN system is live by continuous updates of issues via scanning equipment. Participation in stock takes. Ensuring housekeeping by all team members at all times in order for improved work environment. (MDW) Compliance with environmental regulations ISO 14001 and Health &Safety Regulations ISO 18000. Daily participation and input on MDW with means of meeting QSCM targets and by continuous improvements by implementing innovations.
