INTERNAL & EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT Position: Material Controller (Permanent) Location: Port Elizabeth Minimum Requirements: 1. NQF 4 qualification (minimum requirement). 2. Computer skills (BAAN). 3. High level of attention to detail and be able to prioritize work. 4. Analytical abilities. 5. Ability to use own initiative. 6. Good people and communication skills. 7. Basic administration skills. 8. Confidentiality. 9. Work shift and overtime if and when required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Leading the team by being a living example. 2. Ensuring the timeous and accurate issuing of stock to the production line. (NO LINE STOPPAGES). 3. Maintaining the FIFO system (Engineering level changes) on products received and products issued. 4. Accurate and effective stock control. 5. Daily liaise with buyers regarding stock levels and requirements. 6. Daily cycle counts on all components in the stores. (Rebate as per schedule). 7. Ensuring that all parts received from suppliers including internal suppliers are of the correct standard counted and properly packed (identification, FIFO and quantity) by the team. 8. Ensuring that the BAAN system is life by continuous updates of issues via scanning equipment. 9. Participation in stock takes. 10. Ensuring housekeeping by all team members at all times in order for improved work environment. (MDW) 11. Compliance with environmental regulations ISO 14001 and Health &Safety Regulations ISO 18000.
