JAVA/PHP SUPPORT ENGINEER IN CAPE TOWN

A company in Cape Town is seeking a talented and motivated JAVA/PHP Support Engineer to join their team. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, communications, or information sciences. • 2-3 years’ experience • Solid understanding of web technologies, usability, and information architecture. • Understanding of platform and browser compatibility issues. • Knowledge of basic data management, database concepts, NoSQL and database-driven Web applications. • Proven experience of coding in XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, jQuery. • Proven experience in developing in PHP. • Experience with Drupal, Magento, WordPress, Joomla •Understanding of MVC Frameworks such as CakePHP, Zend Framework is preferred. • Knowledge of API development and architecture is preferred. • Understanding of Yii and test driven development is preferred.
