THE GALAXY IN SUTHERLAND

The Galaxy is a beautiful Victorian stone cottage situated in Sutherland, 110 km north of Matjiesfontein on the R354. The cottage can sleep up to seven guests in three en-suite bedrooms. All the rooms have heaters and electric blankets to make the winters more comfortable. All linen and towels are provided. The cottage was built with local sandstone and has high ceilings of Oregon pine, large sash windows and an enclosed veranda on two sides. Delicious breakfast is servied in the dining room or on the verhanda on a sunny morning. The winding road of the Karoo is tarred and provides a scenic landscape while driving through the Verlatenkloof Pass up to the Roggeveld Mountains.
