The Support Specialist manages the various Physical Security infrastructures that are essential components of the Vizual Access Control and CCTV Systems. The Support Specialist will provide operational support of the various security systems and infrastructures and will work to resolve issues directly or through facilitation and engagement of third parties as appropriate. The SS position requires availability for on-call rotation and flexibility in shift scheduling The SS will be responsible for: Day-to-day support operations of a fast-paced complex distributed physical security infrastructure supporting access control, alarms and CCTV systems Respond to telephone, ticket and e-mail requests in a professional, efficient and customer-centric manner Ensure report requests and account creations receive required approvals and documentation prior to creation On-call support during the day on weekdays and on-call support during weekends Source quotations from suppliers at competitive prices Basic Qualifications 2+ years of experience supporting and managing physical security access control systems 2+ years Experience with Information Security and Risk Management, access control, telecommunications and network security, environmental security, and/or operations security. Must demonstrate a clear understanding of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning Must understand and be able to work according to team and divisional metrics Preferred Qualifications Highly motivated to solve problems efficiently Fast troubleshooting and resolution skills Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with physical and logical security teams Matric with IT Related qualification
